ACSR Conductor

ACSR conductors are made up of concentrically stranded conductor with single or multiple layers of hard drawn aluminium wire on galvanized steel wire core which are coated with zinc of Class A / Class B Coating. The core can be single wire or stranded depending on the size of the conductor. Additional corrosion protection is available through the application of grease to the core.

Features:
  • High Tensile strength
  • Better sag properties
  • Economic design
  • Suitable for remote applications involving long spans
Applicable standards: IS 398 – PART 1, BS 215 – PART 1, IEC 61089 – A1 and other international standards

AAC CONDUCTOR

It is made up of one or more strands of hard drawn EC GRADE Aluminium Wires. It has a minimum conductivity of 61.2% IACS.

Features:
  • High current carrying capacity.
  • Suitable for low and medium voltage lines
  • It is principally used in urban area where spacing is short and supports are close
  • Used in coastal areas because of high degree of corrosion resistance.
Applicable standards: IS 398 – PART 1, BS 215 – PART 1, IEC 61089 – A1 and other international standards

AAAC CONDUCTOR

These are made from high strength Aluminium-Magnesium-Silicon Alloy. Because of its construction, it has better strength to weight ratio, has lower electrical losses and superior corrosion resistance. As a result, it has gained wider acceptance in the distribution and transmission of medium and high voltage lines in comparison to AAC and ACSR.

Features:
  • High strength to weight ratio
  • Better Sag Characteristics
  • Better current carrying capacity
  • Superior resistance to corrosion
Applicable standards: IS 398 - Part 4, IEC 61089 – A2, IEC 61089 – A3 and other international standards

AACSR Conductor

It is concentrically stranded conductor with one or more layers of hard drawn Aluminium-Magnesium-Silicon Alloy stranded with high strength coated steel core. It is having approx. 50% more strength in comparison to ACSR conductor with only 8 to 10% decrease in conductivity.

Features:
  • Offers optimal strength for line design
  • Improved strength to weight ratio
  • Ideal for extra-long spans and heavy load conditions
  • Excellent resistance to corrosion
Applicable standards: IEC 61089 – A2/S1A, IEC 61089 – A2/S1B, IEC 61089 – A2/S3A and other international standards.

AL 59 Conductor

AL-59 alloy conductors are manufactured from Al-Mg-Si rods. The conductor comprises of an inner core and concentrically arranged strands forming the outer layers of the conductor. These are Low resistance High Conductivity alloy conductors with superior characteristics than ACSR/AAAC which has made it widely acceptable in transmission sector.

Features:
  • Improved sag characteristics
  • Improved strength to weight ratio
  • Due to high current carrying capacity, it is a better alternative to ACSR/AAAC in coastal regions.
  • Excellent resistance to corrosion
Applicable standards: SS 4240814 & SS 4240813 (Swedish Standard).

Galvanized Earth/Stay Wire

It comprises of one or more zinc-coated steel wires stranded over a central wire of Galvanized steel wire. It is used for sustaining mechanical load. Galvanization is done to prevent the chances of rusting and avoid shock.

Features:
  • Has optimal mechanical strength
  • Has wide usage across the world and across industries
  • Has multipurpose usage
Applicable standards: 41, IS 12776 and other international standards
